If you want guitars rather than backing tracks, Tenerife has a small but loyal rock scene. In the south, live bands and classic rock tributes play bars in Playa de las Américas, Costa Adeje and Los Cristianos, and the Hard Rock Cafe on the Las Américas seafront hosts live music. For an alternative and indie scene, head north to La Laguna and Santa Cruz at the weekend.
