Papagayo is the big-name seafront venue of Playa de las Américas, working as a beach club and restaurant by day and one of the island's best-known nightclubs after dark. It sits right on the promenade, with sunset views out towards La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro.

Club nights run from Wednesday to Sunday, each with its own sound: house and 90s–00s hits, Latin tech and afro house, reggaeton, dark tech house and a Sunday house, disco and funk closing party. Doors usually open around 22:00 and the music carries on into the early hours, with VIP tables and bottle service bookable online. A separate room, El Nido, hosts its own ticketed events.

Earlier in the day the terrace and restaurant are more relaxed, with brunch, cocktails and a dinner menu of seafood, meat and international dishes. The AWA restaurant in the same building serves Mediterranean food. Expect a younger, dressed-up party crowd at night.
