Best Places for Live Bands in Tenerife

Ce guide n'est pas encore disponible en français ; il s'affiche donc en anglais.

The best places for live bands in Tenerife are Sax Rock Bar and Hard Rock Cafe in Playa de las Américas, St Eugen’s and the Moonlight Bar in Costa Adeje, and Little Britain in Puerto Colón for holiday-style covers and rock. For Spanish and Canarian bands, go north to La Bowie and Búho Club in La Laguna or Sala Timanfaya in Puerto de la Cruz. Most southern bars are free entry; northern concert venues usually sell tickets.

This is a shortlist of venues. For what a typical gig night is like, costs and the difference between the north and south scenes, read our live music bars guide. For tonight’s line-up, see live bands on DoTenerife.

The south: rock bars, pubs and show bars

1. Sax Rock Bar, Playa de las Américas

The south’s go-to rock bar. Reviews through 2026 describe a house band working through classic rock and heavy metal covers, from Deep Purple to Black Sabbath, and a crowd of rock fans rather than passing tourists. Some reviewers find the set lists more mainstream than expected, but it is consistently one of the area’s top-rated nightlife venues.

Good to know: Calle México, Playa de las Américas. Free entry. Mid-range drinks.

2. Hard Rock Cafe Tenerife, Playa de las Américas

A two-floor venue with a stage on the main level and a rooftop terrace. Hard Rock Cafe lists live music most evenings on its own calendar, often featuring Tenerife-based musicians, and it works well as dinner followed by a set. It is busier and pricier than a typical bar.

Good to know: Avenida de las Américas, Playa de las Américas. Book a table if you want to eat during the music. Upper mid-range.

3. St Eugen’s, San Eugenio

St Eugen’s has a resident band alongside visiting singers and tribute acts, with a compère running the night. It is one of the most established entertainment bars in San Eugenio, and recent reviews still describe late, lively evenings.

Good to know: Avenida de los Pueblos 31, Costa Adeje. Free entry. Mid-range.

4. The Moonlight Bar, Costa Adeje

A long-running music bar with sea views that reviewers say are some of the best at sunset on this stretch. The Moonlight Bar mixes live musicians, afternoon sessions and karaoke, and regulars advise arriving early for a seat.

Good to know: Calle Valencia 1A, Costa Adeje. Free entry. Mid-range.

5. Little Britain Tenerife Music Bar, Puerto Colón

A small bar in Puerto Colón with rock musicians and bands, plus karaoke from late afternoon, according to reviews. Little Britain has few reviews compared with the bigger names, and they are mixed, but it is one of the few places in this corner of the coast that focuses on live rock.

Good to know: Avenida de Colón, Puerto Colón, Costa Adeje. Free entry. Mid-range.

6. The Dubliner, Playa de las Américas

A late-opening Irish bar where reviewers describe live singers covering songs for all ages, plus sport on the screens. The Dubliner opens late and stays open into the early hours, so it suits people who want music after dinner.

Good to know: Avenida Rafael Puig Lluvina 28, Playa de las Américas. Free entry. Mid-range.

7. Soul Suite, Las Américas and Los Cristianos border

For live soul, Motown and blues rather than rock. Soul Suite has several vocalists on a typical night and a dance floor, and it is one of the most reviewed music venues in the area. Get there early.

Good to know: Calle Luis Díaz de Losada 1. Free entry. Mid-range.

8. The Red Lion and Murphy’s, Fañabé

Two pubs a short walk apart in Fañabé. The Red Lion advertises entertainment every night, and reviewers mention live singers and a blues act. Murphy’s Irish Pub, near Fañabé beach, has live music that some reviewers love and others find too loud. Neither has stellar ratings, but both are easy options if you are staying nearby.

Good to know: The Red Lion is in CC Litoral, Calle París. Both free entry, mid-range.

9. The Treehouse, Chayofa

A country-pub-style bar and grill in the hills above Los Cristianos, known for live music, Sunday roasts and an outdoor play area. The Treehouse is a change from the resort strips, though you will need a taxi or car. Reviews are mixed on service.

Good to know: Calle Taroso 2, Chayofa. Book for Sunday lunch. Mid-range.

The north: concerts and local bands

10. La Bowie, La Laguna

A bar and live venue in La Laguna, the university city, hosting Spanish and Canarian singers and bands, with events published into 2026. Sala La Bowie is open late towards the end of the week. Expect a local, Spanish-speaking crowd.

Good to know: Calle Elías Serra Rafols 41, La Laguna. Gigs are usually ticketed. Budget to mid-range.

11. Búho Club, La Laguna

A small club in La Laguna’s old town that hosts concerts by Spanish and touring artists. Búho Club had gigs listed through 2026 and is one of the places to catch up-and-coming Spanish acts.

Good to know: Calle Catedral 3, La Laguna. Tickets for concerts. Budget to mid-range.

12. Sala Timanfaya, Puerto de la Cruz

A seated hall in central Puerto de la Cruz staging tribute concerts, flamenco and music shows. Sala Timanfaya is a good choice if you want a proper concert setting rather than a bar.

Good to know: Calle Las Damas 1, Puerto de la Cruz. Book tickets ahead. Prices vary by show.

How we chose

We did not attend a gig at every venue on this list. We weighed how long each venue has been running, how often it appears in DoTenerife’s listings and other local event listings, and recent reviews on Google and TripAdvisor. Every venue here had reviews or published events in 2025 or 2026. We left out bars we could not confirm as open.
