Best Nightclubs in Tenerife

Ce guide n'est pas encore disponible en français ; il s'affiche donc en anglais.

The best nightclubs in Tenerife are Tramps and Papagayo Beach Club in Playa de las Américas, the island’s two biggest names, followed by Monkey Beach Club for daytime pool parties and Achaman in Adeje for Latin music. Most clubbing happens around the Veronicas strip and the Starco centre, where clubs fill from around 1am to 2am and run into the early morning. For a Spanish crowd and later nights, go to La Laguna at the weekend.

This page ranks individual venues. For the strip itself, see our guides to Veronicas and Starco. For DJ nights happening tonight, check DJ events on DoTenerife.

The best clubs in the south

1. Tramps, Playa de las Américas

The most consistently well-reviewed club in the south, with hundreds of reviews and plenty from 2026. Tramps styles itself as the home of house and electronic music on the Veronicas strip, with R&B and commercial sounds too, a terrace and VIP tables. Reviewers often mention friendly staff and a safe atmosphere.

Good to know: CC Starco, Avenida Arquitecto Gómez Cuesta, Playa de las Américas. Busiest after 1am. Entry and drink packages vary; VIP tables can be booked in advance.

2. Papagayo Beach Club, Playa de las Américas

The island’s best-known club, on the seafront with views towards La Gomera. Papagayo runs as a restaurant and terrace by day and a club with electronic music and live shows at night. It has thousands of reviews, but recent ones are sharply mixed, with complaints about prices and door staff alongside praise for the setting. Go with realistic expectations.

Good to know: Avenida Rafael Puig Lluvina 2, Playa de las Américas. Dress smart-casual. Upper mid-range to expensive, especially for tables.

3. Monkey Beach Club, Playa de Troya

A beach club on Playa de Troya best known for its daytime pool parties with DJs, which run from around midday into the evening on selected days. Monkey Beach Club is popular with stag and hen groups. Pool party tickets are over-18s only.

Good to know: Avenida Rafael Puig Lluvina 3, Playa de las Américas. Book pool party tickets ahead in summer. Upper mid-range.

4. The Top at Hard Rock Cafe, Playa de las Américas

The rooftop terrace at Hard Rock Cafe Tenerife has DJ sets on selected nights after the live music downstairs finishes, plus daily happy hour. The Top Terrace is a good warm-up before the clubs, with views towards Teide.

Good to know: Avenida de las Américas, Playa de las Américas. Check the weekly schedule for DJ nights. Mid-range to upper mid-range.

5. Achaman Discopub, Adeje

The south’s best-known Latin club, with salsa, bachata, merengue and reggaeton, and occasional live Latin groups according to reviews. Achaman draws more locals and Latin music fans than tourists, and reviews through 2026 praise the DJs.

Good to know: Avenida Francisco Ucelay Sabina, Adeje. Late opening. Budget to mid-range.

6. Kendo Lounge Bar, Playa de las Américas

A lounge bar on Calle México with a regular AfroLatin salsa and bachata social, listed as recently as 2026. Kendo is small and has few reviews, so check its social media before going.

Good to know: Calle México 16, Playa de las Américas. DJ-led nights. Budget to mid-range.

7. Sax Rock Bar, Playa de las Américas

Not a club, but if you want to stay out late without electronic music, this rock bar on Calle México has a house band and a loyal crowd. It is a short walk from the Veronicas clubs.

Good to know: Calle México, Playa de las Américas. Free entry. Mid-range.

The north: La Laguna and Santa Cruz

8. La Bowie, La Laguna

A bar and live venue open until the early hours towards the end of the week, with concerts and a young, mostly Spanish crowd. La Bowie is a good starting point for a night in La Laguna.

Good to know: Calle Elías Serra Rafols 41, La Laguna. Some events are ticketed. Budget to mid-range.

9. Búho Club, La Laguna

A small old-town club in La Laguna hosting gigs by Spanish and touring artists through 2026. Búho Club suits people who prefer a concert followed by a late drink.

Good to know: Calle Catedral 3, La Laguna. Tickets for concerts. Budget to mid-range.

10. Bambú Lounge & Bar, Santa Cruz

A large Balinese-style venue in Santa Cruz with a terrace, themed party nights, cocktails and private events, listed by the island’s official tourism site. It is outside the centre, so plan a taxi.

Good to know: Calle Fernando Arozena Quintero 5, Santa Cruz. Check upcoming nights before you go. Mid-range.

Groups on a stag or hen weekend usually combine a pool party in the afternoon with Veronicas at night. See our stag do and hen do guides for planning tips, and remember that wristband and package deals sold online are offered by third-party organisers rather than the clubs themselves.

How we chose

We did not visit every club for this list. We looked at reputation, how often each venue appears in DoTenerife’s listings and other local event listings, and recent reviews on Google and TripAdvisor. Every venue here had reviews, events or official listings in 2025 or 2026. We left out clubs we could not confirm as operating, and we mention where recent reviews are mixed.

Tips for a night out

  • Timing: bars on Veronicas fill from around midnight and clubs peak later. Read what time bars close in Tenerife.
  • PR staff: expect offers of free shots and entry deals on the strip. Some are fine; agree the price before you order.
  • Beach clubs and weather: daytime pool parties and terraces are best on calm, sunny days. Check the Tenerife weather today.
  • Getting home: taxis queue near Starco and the seafront. Agree a meeting point if your group splits up.
