For a drink with a view, Tenerife’s sky bars and rooftop terraces are hard to beat — especially at sunset, when the sun drops behind La Gomera. Most are in Costa Adeje and Playa de las Américas, and several host live music and DJs.

When to go
Arrive about an hour before sunset to get a good table. Sunset ranges from about 6.15pm in winter to after 9pm in midsummer — see the times for each month in our weather by month pages.
