AC/DC were formed by Scottish-born brothers Malcolm and Angus Young in Sydney. With singer Bon Scott they built a reputation as one of the hardest-working live bands of the 1970s, culminating in Highway to Hell (1979).

After Scott's death in 1980 the band recruited Brian Johnson and released Back in Black, one of the best-selling albums ever made. Angus's duck walk and schoolboy outfit remain rock's most recognisable stage look.
